Mark Kraus IV
Mark hails from Michigan but has been lost, wandering the earth, for some time now. After discovering how epically bad of a vinter he was, his wife suggested that maybe he should try brewing beer (I mean he does have plenty of experience drinking it). She has since furiously regretted that decision until everything came together to turn a dream into a reality here in Holdrege, NE with Lost Way Brewery. There would also be some fantastic war-time stories but he was told to keep the bio to a minimum so come down to the taproom if you care to hear more!
Jessica is originally from a small town in South Eastern New Mexico , where she spent her days rattlesnake chasing and eating all of the Mexican food she could. She ironically got lost one night bar hopping in SoCal where she met the man she now calls her husband. Although she misses home (mostly the green chile) she couldn’t imagine raising her family anywhere else but Nebraska. You can catch her most days down at the taproom serving you with a smile.
Jason grew up near Bay City, MI, spending his early years riding in a tractor on his Grandpa’s farm. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented him from realizing his early dream of being a farmer. Jason instead pursued a career in Engineering. This led to wandering around within the state of Michigan, and then somehow wandering all the way to Nebraska. After being introduced to craft beer, he decided that making it had to be cheaper and more fun than buying it. Thus with the encouragement of his beautiful wife, he began the long and decidedly not cheap adventure that started with a 6.5 gallon kettle and has culminated in Lost Way Brewery. Stop down and Jason will be happy to give you a tour of the brewery and talk beer (or Ships or Nuclear Power or 100 other nerdy topics).
Kimberly grew up in MI where she graduated from Grand Valley State and received her BBA with a major in Accounting and a minor in statistics. Michigan was also where she met her best friend and husband, Jason. They had their first beautiful daughter, Evelynn, in 2013! Kimberly and her family had to move to NE in 2014 when Jason accepted a new job. She now has another beautiful daughter, Annabelle, and a job that she loves. Working with her family and living in a small town has been amazing and she thanks God every day!
